CRAWLEY
Crawley is a town with a fast-growing population of around 100,000, based
on a settlement dating back to the 13th century. It was one of the first new
towns built around London after the Second World War.
It is uniquely accessible to London and Brighton: train links take just
forty minutes to both destinations.
One of the world's busiest airports, Gatwick, is just a few minutes’ ride
away from the town centre.
Crawley offers a good quality of life; it is green, safe and
purpose-planned. The town has good state and private schools, an active
theatre, a big new cinema complex, a large, quality regional shopping centre
with all major UK outlets, excellent bus and rail services, golf courses,
sports clubs and pubs. |
The town enjoys high employment and has many new comfortable neighbourhoods
for both workers at the airport and for London commuters.

HORSHAM
 | Horsham is a prosperous market town of 50,000, compact, flat and has
a relaxing pedestrianised centre. The largest local employers
are Novartis and the Royal and Sun Alliance, together with Gatwick Airport.
Brighton is 35 minutes away, to the south, and Guildford 40 minutes to the
north. The town is popular with commuters and an estimated 6,000
travel daily to London, the train journey to Victoria taking 1 hour.
 | There will be around 7,000 new houses built near Horsham over the next
five years. New GPs are needed in the town as a result of this, so
plenty of employment options will be coming up.
 | House prices start at £100,000 for a 3 bedroom terrace house with
garden for £400-600 plm. |
