Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust was formed on 1^st April 1998 following a merger between East Surrey Healthcare NHS and Crawley Horsham NHS Trusts. It provides acute and community healthcare services to a resident population of 360,000 and covers an area encircling Gatwick Airport, Caterham, Billingshurst, Crawley, Horsham, Redhill and Reigate.
